ESG reporting – the next evolution of investment in sustainability

As of 1 July 2014, the Australian Stock Exchange expects listed companies to report on their ESG risks – environmental and social governance. The following is a speech by Green Building Council of Australia chief executive Romilly Madew on environmental, social and corporate governance, which was presented to the August IPD breakfast series in Sydney in June 2014. She says that while environmental, social and corporate governance has risen up the boardroom agenda in recent years, it’s not actually a new concept.
