Carbon bubble makes Australia’s coal industry ripe ‘for financial implosion’

The Guardian’s Damian Carrington says much of the Australia’s coal reserves will be worthless if world’s governments fulfil pledge to cap emissions, warns a new report as part of the Unburnable Carbon Project.

The report is authored by John Connor, one of the new report’s authors and CEO of The Climate Institute, and James Leaton of think tank Carbon Tracker.
