Australian Energy Market Commission public consultation on new strategy

Posted by

The Australian Energy Market Commission (AEMC) has released a discussion paper that reviews its strategic priorities for energy market development.

This is the second review of strategic priorities for energy market development, with AEMC completing their first review in 2011.

This new review is considering whether existing strategic priorities remain appropriate in light of advances in AEMC’s work program and developments in the market since 2011.

The AEMC is holding three stakeholder workshops as part of our consultation on the priorities proposed in the discussion paper, which was published on 15 April 2013.

The workshops, which will involve an interactive discussion of their proposed priorities, are being held in:
Sydney – Wednesday 24 April 2013, 10.00am to 1.00pm
Brisbane – Monday 29 April 2013, 1.00pm – 4.00pm
Melbourne – Wednesday 1 May 2013, 10.00am to 1.00pm
